It is among the first gas stations the company has had to close in Massachusetts since the start of the pandemic. A Connecticut Cumby’s was temporarily closed in July.
One of the employees has been infected with COVID-19, said Cumberland Farms corporate administration. The store was closed on Sunday, Aug. 9 at around 6:30 p.m.
After the store is cleaned and sanitized by an industrial cleaning crew, it will reopen - likely within a few days, Cumby’s said.
“We are grateful to all our customers for your patience and understanding during this time,” the convenience store/gas station chain said.
